As part of a research project, Healthwatch Bromley produced leaflets for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to provide education and information.

South East London Integrated Care System (SEL ICS) is working hard to ensure everyone receives the maximum protection against potential illness and disease - including getting the information and support they need, and access to vaccinations wherever they live.

Nurses who are members of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) will be striking from 8pm on 30 April to 8pm on 2 May at Guys and St Thomas’s (GSTT), and Kings. Unite members (pharmacists, nurses, security and switchboard) will also be on strike on 2 May at GSTT (times tbc).

On 4th August 2022, Healthwatch Bromley visited Fallowfield, a nursing home located in a residential area of Chislehurst. The home is a three-acre Victorian mansion surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens, situated next to Fairlight residential home.

The Cancer Information and Support Survey was a local project run by Healthwatch Bromley from March to June 2022. The project aimed to identify and understand trends in the support needs of people, and their loved ones, living with or beyond different types of cancer.

We designed an infographic that illustrates ratings of cancer support across three cancer groups and the preferred location for a new cancer information and support centre.

A patient experience report with 645 reviews collected this quarter about the health and social care services in the London Borough of Bromley, covering the period from October- December.

On 16th November 2022 Healthwatch Bromley visited Foxbridge House, a purpose-built care and nursing home in Orpington, Kent. Foxbridge House is provided and run by Care UK. In its prospectus, the home offers high standards of nursing, residential, respite and specialist dementia care for up to 84 residents.

COVID-19 is still with us and making thousands of people ill every week. Protection against COVID - 19 (either from catching the virus or from a previous vaccination) fades over time. This spring, the NHS is offering a further vaccination to those at highest risk of severe illness from the virus.
