Enter & View: Beechmore Court

Beechmore Court is a 37-bed residential care home split across three households: Brooker, Florence and Isabel. The two smaller houses, Florence and Isabel, are designed to care for people who are living with a long-established dementia diagnosis and have a high level of care needs.
We received feedback from 11 residents and nine family members. Overall, feedback was positive, with both residents and family members expressing contentment with the care provided at Beechmore Court. Residents shared that they feel safe and well cared for, and value being included in decisions about the activities available.
We received feedback from 14 staff members and two from management. During our observation, we noted that all staff were interacting with the residents in a kind and respectful manner.
Following the visit, our official ‘Enter & View Report’ was shared with the service provider, local commissioners and regulators. It outlines what has worked well, and makes recommendations on what could work better. A formal response, from the registered manager, can be found at the back of the report. They also emailed us further information in response to a recommendation related to additional staff training; " I have spent the day at St. Christopher’s Hospice today, along with a team of Care Assistants, and we have enjoyed, and been inspired by the lectures we have attended in holistic palliative care. CHA/Beechmore Court invested in a training partnership with St. Christopher's Hospice CARE Education and so we have access to high level in-person training, skills workshops and lectures."
