The future of Healthwatch Bromley and views of residents

The way that people living in Bromley can share their views on health and care is changing. Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will be responsible for gathering public feedback about health services. Local councils will gather feedback about social care. Healthwatch Bromley is to be abolished. This will mean the loss of a local independent patient voice.

Healthwatch is your local health and social care champion. We make sure NHS leaders hear your voice and use your feedback to improve care. Your experiences are important and can help to inform commissioners and service providers.

From August - December 2025, we asked local residents to what extent they agree or disagree with these two statements (using a five-point scale from 1 = Strongly agree to 5 = Strongly disagree)

  • There should be an independent, local organisation to collect local people’s views and experiences of health and social care services
  • It is important to have an organisation which represents these views to providers and decision-makers, to improve services

We heard from 385 residents and have designed a poster that summarises our findings.
