    • Obtain the views of women who have experienced maternity services in Bromley, and pregnant women and their families on their maternity journey
    • Identifying barriers, enabling communities and encouraging participant involvement
    • Diversifying reach by innovative new ways to engage with service users
    • Monitoring the issues that are identified and reporting findings regularly.

    Healthwatch from Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham carried out Enter & View visits to assess how supported patient's felt by the staff and how comfortable they felt in their surroundings. We observed Princess Royal University Hospital, Queen Elizabeth and Lewisham Hospitals’ Maternity Departments, and Darent Valley Hospital’s Maternity Department.

    On 12th July 2022, Healthwatch Bromley visited Antokol Care Home, a residential care home established in 1951 to care for elderly Polish refugees. Originally located in Beckenham, it was relocated to Chislehurst. Antokol provides housing and care for up to 36 residents, including 21 individuals with dementia and six with additional long-term conditions.

    An E&V visit was carried out on 28th October 2022 by three E&V Authorise Representatives (AR). The visit was announced and planned in partnership with the home. In preparation for the visit, we shared with the registered manager a poster announcing our visit to display in communal areas and copies of questionnaires explaining the purpose of E&V visits.

    Bromley Dementia Support Hub is a charitable service that is commissioned by London Borough of Bromley (LBB) and delivered by Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich (BLG) Mind and Age UK.

    On 4th August 2022, Healthwatch Bromley visited Fallowfield, a nursing home located in a residential area of Chislehurst. The home is a three-acre Victorian mansion surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens, situated next to Fairlight residential home.
